St. Patrick's Weekend - Why not Celebrate with us in Galway!!
You'll have lots of ceol agus craic in Galway this St. Patricks Weekend. There is entertainment for the whole weekend for young and old!
This year the Galway St. Patrick's Festival takes place Saturday 13th - Wednesday 17th March. With parades, theatre performances, street events, art installations and music concerts there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
The main St Patrick's Day Parade will take place on the Wednesday at 12.30pm, starting on Dominick Street. This year the theme is "over the moon".
Also on St. Patrick's day the Rith Finale will take place at 2pm in Eyre Square, where President Mary McAleese will congratulate the runners, followed by a ceili of irish music and dance to mark the completion of the parade and race.

Around Ireland 2010 Offshore Powerboat Race
On Sunday June, over 75 world class powerboats will leave Galway Bay in pursuit of the Around Ireland Offshore title
The race will circumnavigate the entire coast of Ireland and will be the toughest endurance powerboat race on the international circuit.
The Start and Finish of the race will be in Galway and will echo the excitement of the recent Volvo Ocean Race Stopover with a full programme of powerboat racing callenges in Galway Bay between the start and finish of the event

Cope Galway Ocean Race Triathlon - Sunday 13th June
Will take place at 9am on Sunday 13th June 2010 in Salthill. The event takes the format of a Triathlon and consists of a 750m swim followed by 20km and 5km run along the scenic Galway Bay Coast.
The Triathlon is a fund raising initiative for the charity COPE Galway.
